Magnetic Shielding – aktive Compensation Systems – Simulations – Measurements
The key competence of Systron is to design, sell and install passive magnetic shields and active compensations systems in order to reduce low-frequency magnetic fields. In addition, we perform 3D magnetic field modelling of electrical power stations and perform measurements on site.
Systron offers standardized and custom-made shielding solutions in order to reduce low-frequency magnetic fields. Magnetic shielding is used either to reduce fields at the electromagnetic source, or to protect EMI sensitive tools like electron microscopes.
Depending on the application, different shielding alloys are selected for efficient passive shielding. Typically, a combination of nickel-iron / silicon-iron and aluminium is used to shield alternating magnetic fields. Heat treated mu-metal is applied where DC-fields needs to be reduced. Alternatively, or in addition to passive magnetic shielding, active compensations systems are installed in order to reduce magnetic fields.
