Magnetic shields for devices and components are tailored to the requirements of the customer. The parts are manufactured individually as single pieces or in series. Depending on the requirements the parts may be magnetically annealed to ensure maximum shielding capability.

Shielding for laser transformer:

Description

The transformer of a laser measuring system in a research institute causes high magnetic fields. With the shielding with a screwed cover, the fields of the transformer are attenuated.

Shielding for a gas chromatograph:

Magnetic fields of an adjacent power line interfere with a gas chromatograph. These interference fields are shielded efficiently with a magnetic shielding.

Shielding for crack test system:

In the course of a routine check, it was noted that there were 50 Hz magnetic fields at the workplace of the magnetic crack test system exceeding the recommended limit value of 500 µT. During operation there are currents up to 7,100 A.

The solution consists of a three-part sliding door system. When the sliding door is open, access is unhindered. The sliding doors can be pushed in front of each other on both sides. With the sliding doors closed, the limit value is in perfect compliance. Without shielding: 540µT, with shielding: about 40 µT.

Shielding for low voltage distribution panel:

The distribution panel is directly attached to the outside wall of a building. Inside the building is the workplace of a goldsmith. Magnetic field measurements show values significantly above 1 µT. To reduce the fields to values below 1 µT, the inner surface of the distribution cabinet was covered with a shield.

Shielding for electronic module:

External fields are disturbing a module containing several transducers. With the shielding mounted around the casing, these external fields are reduced so that the module is working properly.

External magnetic DC fields disturb the sensors in traffic safety systems. With a mu-metal casing the interfering fields could be shielded and the traffic safety system is working reliably.
